For vocational fleets currently running Fuller Advantage automated transmissions or that don’t need all the capability of the Endurant XD series, the Endurant HD V automated transmission features an impressive mix of capability and efficiency.
Designed for use with engines up to 1700 lbs.-ft. (2300 Nm) of torque and a maximum Gross Combination Weight Rating of 70,000 pounds (31,751 kg), it’s loaded with features used around the job site like an Extreme Duty clutch for improved low-speed maneuvering, Rock Free to help get unstuck in mud or sand, an Off-highway Performance Goal tuned for changing soil conditions, and dual PTO openings to power what you need. Drivers will appreciate the confident launch performance on grades thanks to Hill Start Aid, the smooth shifting and gear selection logic. The new Secondary Configuration mode gives drivers the ability to toggle between two Performance Goals for a tailored driving experience that accounts for the load or terrain.
Eaton Cummins Automated Transmission Technologies has a broad portfolio of transmissions to help you get the job done. By answering a short series of questions about your truck and your route, we'll give you a couple of recommendations for heavy-duty automated transmissions that best fit your fleet's unique needs.
The Endurant HD V delivers an impressive combination of performance and efficiency.
New for the Endurant HD series are Performance Goals which combine transmission shift points and clutch calibrations with unique software. This allows operators to easily tailor transmission performance to the demands of the job.
Achieving maximum performance requires a combination of strength and smarts. To get the most out of the Endurant XD series hardware, we use Gearlogic technology - a suite of intelligent features that improves performance, fuel efficiency, and driver confidence.
FEATURES: | DESCRIPTIONS: |
---|---|
HILL START AID | Prevents unintended rollback or roll forward. When the grade exceeds the programmed threshold, the foundation brakes hold the truck for a controlled launch. It works when pointing uphill in drive or facing downhill in reverse. |
AUTO NEUTRAL | Automatically switches the transmission into neutral once the parking brake is engaged to prevent potential movement of the vehicle. |
ENGINE OVERSPEED PROTECTION | The transmission system up-shffts if necessary to prevent engine overspeed in drive, manual, and low modes. |
ENHANCED ENGINE BRAKING | Downshifts the transmission to help slow the truck on long, steep descents and increase brake pad life. |
LOAD-BASED SHIFTING | Selects appropriate starting gear and makes shift decisions based on grade, vehicle weight, engine torque, and throttle position. |
URGE TO MOVE | Drivers simply release the brake pedal to automatically inch forward, similar to the feel of a passenger car. |
CREEP MODE | Offers ultimate control to "creep" with a locked clutch at engine idle. Drivers can manually select different gears to fine-tune vehicle speed. |
NEUTRAL COAST | Fuel-saving feature that disengages the driveline on slight downhill grades. |
SMART GEAR SELECTION | The appropriate starting gear is selected and makes shift decisions based on grade, vehicle weight, engine torque, and throttle position - skip shifting when appropriate, making the most efficient changes based on those conditions. |
PREDICTIVE SHIFTING | Uses look-ahead technology to execute shift decisions that improve fuel economy and driver comfort. |
The Endurant family of transmissions are backed by the support, solutions, and expertise of the Roadranger network—the most experienced and accessible drivetrain consultants in the business.
