Designed specifically for Class 6 and 7 commercial vehicle markets, Procision represents the first use of proven, dual-clutch technology for these segments. Compared to torque converter automatics, dual-clutch transmissions (DCTs) are more efficient when accelerating from a stop and getting to the highest gear - reducing fuel consumption and engine noise. Gear changes are seamless thanks to the powerful computer that uses grade, load and driver input.
Total operating costs are an important factor when selecting a new transmission. That’s why Procision delivers 8-10% better fuel economy, uses less lubricant, and has maintenance intervals that are two times longer than a torque converter automatic.
Features such as Hill Helper, Creep Mode, and brake-pedal actuated Tap Down Shifting improve driver confidence, particularly on routes with hilly, difficult terrain, or in urban routes with traffic and loading docks.
